“Le Normandy” restaurant offers a tour around the flavours and expertise of local Grand Duchy cuisine.
In the spirit of the legendary French steamship, SS Normandie, complete with lavish exotic woodwork, brass fittings and even a Captain’s Table, the restaurant has dropped anchor on the first floor of the Grand Hotel Cravat.
The design is inspired by artist Jean Delvaux and his wonderful painting relating the history of the SS Normandie. Ask the maître d’hôtel to regale you with some of the stories behind this wonderful work of art.
Another interesting feature of the restaurant is an original menu from the SS Normandie’s maiden voyage, dated 29 May 1935. To celebrate the event, “Le Normandy” offers the very same dishes on it’s traditional French cuisine à la carte menu.
